Goslar is the main town in Harz, offering a charming and historically interesting city center. It is an old imperial city, and from here you have plenty of opportunities to explore the surrounding towns such as Bad Harzburg or Quedlinburg, which are within an hour’s drive from Goslar. Goslar is an all-year-round destination, where there is a classic German Christmas atmosphere during the Christmas season and plenty of opportunities for mountain hikes in the summer. The town has many shops, the Karstadt department store, and numerous restaurants. This holiday destination offers outdoor activities and an interesting cultural and historical background.
During the winter weeks, it is possible to go skiing from the accommodation, although we do not categorize it as a ski property. It takes about half an hour to drive to the small ski area of Bocksberg, where there are small 4 km slopes and 6 lifts. A good opportunity to have a cheap holiday and get a few days of skiing. Please check the season and snow guarantee yourself, as it is a small area.
