Fuengirola is one of the Costa del Sol’s most popular towns, known for its long beaches, lively streets, and many amenities for both tourists and residents. Here you’ll find a wealth of shops, a modern shopping center, movie theaters, and the Costa del Sol’s largest flea market (every Tuesday), which attracts both locals and visitors. The town offers a wide selection of Spanish tapas bars and international restaurants, so you’ll always have something new to try. With its sunny Mediterranean climate, Fuengirola is a perfect year-round vacation destination, whether you’re dreaming of beach life, shopping, or cozy evenings in the town’s historic district.

Nice small apartment on the 1st floor of a newer building in an older, cozy, and quiet neighborhood. Close to shops, restaurants, and the beach promenade.
Approx. 1 km walking distance to the train station and bus stops with service to several coastal towns and cities inland.
The apartment is best suited for 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. Parking can be difficult near the apartment.
The apartment comes highly recommended.
A lovely apartment in a quiet neighborhood, perfectly located near the city, the beach, and public transportation.
A lovely apartment in a newly built building, right in the heart of Fuengirola, with easy access to the beach and the town’s attractions. Easy access to trains and buses if you want to visit the surrounding towns. A little gem we’ll definitely visit again.
Great apartment, located close to the beach and the entire beach promenade, where there are plenty of restaurants and opportunities to go for a run
Our experiences:
Transportation in general:
Transportation to and from the airport can be booked, and you’ll be picked up with a sign at the airport (price: 42 euros):
https://www.suntransfers.com/
You can book an Uber through their app.
Trains and buses run smoothly. The train to Málaga runs every 20 minutes (renfe.es); a round-trip ticket to Málaga costs 7.40 euros.
The white village of Mijas Pueblo is definitely worth a visit. It costs 1.55 euros by bus and 14 euros by taxi. There are plenty of things to see, including a small museum, the streets, and a tourist office that has a brochure in Danish 🙂
Really nice apartment—no complaints here. Spacious, with some nice rooms. Close to everything, but surprisingly quiet.
The view looks down onto the street and other houses, so it’s nothing special, but it’s not a problem either.
Parking a rental car can be a real hassle, but we were well aware of that before we got there.
A lovely small apartment for 2–4 people, right in the heart of it all yet located in a quiet neighborhood. Restaurants, shopping, the beach, and more are all within a 2-minute walk. Breakfast on the balcony (seats up to 2 people) with a view of the street life is highly recommended. We’ll definitely be back to Fuengirola.
#Fuengirola Palangreros B 1—and after 17 days, we’d like to share some tips. There were two of us staying in the apartment, which we think is just right. It meets all our needs and is equipped with everything you need for daily life. The apartment is in a great location, and it’s easy to walk to the city center, restaurants, the beach, and supermarkets. We used public transportation and Uber. I highly recommend downloading the Uber app in advance. – The price for an airport transfer varies but is around €28–€33, and a bus ticket to Marbella costs €3.50—and from the beach promenade in Marbella, you can take the city bus on to Puerto Banús. As for restaurants in the area, we ate at La Esquina Chinorros, Casapasta Trattoria, Limoncello Italo Bar, and Bodega Charolais—all fantastic restaurants where no one batted an eye when we shared appetizers, main courses, and desserts, or a pizza. On the beach, I’d like to highlight Restaurant Caracola. – We’d love to come back to this apartment—without a car.
A lovely, newly renovated apartment that sleeps 4 adults, with two of them staying in a small but nice room. Ideally located on a quiet street in the heart of Fuengirola, just a short walk from the beach and close to a wide variety of restaurants and shops.
A really nice apartment right in the heart of the city. It’s on the nicest little street with beautiful facades and a lovely atmosphere. A great place for a family with children.
Very close to the beach, and there are several great restaurants further up the street. I especially recommend Yin Yang Sushi.
There are several supermarkets on the same street.
The water park and shopping center are both within walking distance of the apartment.
The apartment is perfectly located within walking distance of the beach, the train and bus stations, shopping, and a wide variety of dining options. Restaurant Palangreros and the pasta place on our own street come highly recommended.
Great location close to downtown and the beach. The apartment is well-appointed. Easy access from the airport by train.
A super stylish and brand-new city apartment close to the beach, cafés, and restaurants. The apartment is located on a quiet one-way street and within walking distance of everything you need for a combined city and beach vacation. We picked up breakfast at Fermento Casa de Panaderos on Calla Marconi, enjoyed drinks at Panda Cocktail Bar, and took the bus to Mijas (the white town).
